Augmented with road weary tales from the field, Kenny Chaplin dispels the myths of working in the film industry and introduces you to the Director’s Team. In this seminar, you'll learn the requisite tools to understand the duties, culture, and responsibilities of the Assistant Directing department.

Kenny provides a study of the unique tasks, thought processes, and skill sets of the Director’s Team. You’ll learn definitions and nuances of the 1st AD, 2nd AD, 2nd 2nd/3rd AD, Basecamp and Key Set Production Assistants. This information is seldom documented, yet if clearly understood, it’s proper use will guarantee you as a ‘stand out’ in the AD team and help earn you another gig.

ABOUT KENNY CHAPLIN
Kenny Chaplin has been a part of the Director’s Team in film & television for over 20 years. He’s a member of the Directors Guilds of America (DGA) and Canada (DGC). He’s provided call times to the likes of Ethan Hawke, James Garner, Ray Liotta, Donald Sutherland, and Abigail Breslin. He has had to 'wrangle' the likes of Dustin Hoffman, John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Sean Penn, Eva Longoria and many others.
Kenny’s credits include feature films such as Terrence Malick’s "The Thin Red Line," Ang Lee’s “Ride With The Devil," and Ridley Scott’s “Body of Lies." His television series credits include "Judging Amy" starring Amy Brenneman and Tyne Daly plus "Roswell" with Katherine Heigl.
